Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, is served by public transport - including the Metro Link that runs through the heart of the Quays taking you to Manchester City Centre in 12 minutes. - Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, also benefits from good links to the M60 orbital motorway, particularly via the M62 motorway spur.

Exchange Quay stop serves this development, the nearby residential area, Ordsall Hall Museum, as well as the Copthorne Hotel, offices, bars and restaurants.

After crossing Trafford Road the route reaches Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, stop, located between St Peter Basin and Trafford Road.

Between Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, and Anchorage stops the route crosses Furness Withy Viaduct over the car parks at Custom House and Furness House. This 250 metre long viaduct structure includes a 100 metre reinforced in situ concrete curved bridge section. Note that there is no direct pedestrian route between Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, and Anchorage stops.

Anchorage stop is to the east of the Anchorage development at the end of Erie Basin. The stop serves this and nearby developments, also residents of north Ordsall.

Harbour City stop and the route is on a reserved alignment between the architecturally striking Victoria office building and its multi-storey car park. These are on the north bank of the Erie Basin.

The Lowry Centre at present Harbour City is the closest stop to the Lowry Centre. Plans exist for the short spur line, shown yellow on the diagram, to a stop at the Lowry Centre.

The developers of Media-City, which is to be opposite the Lowry Centre in Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, , have suggest routing this Metrolink spur into the heart of Media-City.

The Salford ITU World Cup Triathlon

The Salford ITU World Cup Triathlon was the first ITU World Cup ever to be held in the UK.

If you're new to triathlon, then you're about to fall in love with a whirlwind of a sport. If you're familiar with triathlon already, you can relive the excitement of previous events including the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the 2003, 2004 and 2005 ITU World Cup races. Triathlon is exciting: it's demanding, it's extreme. It's also one of the fastest growing sports in the world!

No trip to The Quays would be complete without a visit to the state of the art Watersports Centre. This facility was built largely with lottery funding and is managed by Salford Leisure Trust. Activities range from single taster sessions to six week sport specific training courses in canoeing, kayaking, climbing, orienteering, windsurfing and sailing. The centre also has two bookable seminar/teaching rooms.










Salford University plans to join BBC at Media City . . .

Following news that the BBC is to relocate several of its departments to Salford, the University of Salford has announced innovative proposals to move parts of its Faculty of Arts, Media & Social Sciences to the Media City site at Salford Quays, Harbour City, Manyoo, .

Plans are currently being considered to establish a new campus at Media City for the Faculty, which includes the Schools of Art & Design and Media, Music & Performance.
